An expanded Walmart in Jupiter re-opened Wednesday, May 27, following a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9 a.m.
The store, located at 2144 W. Indiantown Road, will be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and offer customers groceries, merchandise and a full-service pharmacy.
“We are excited to bring fresh produce and a full line of groceries to our store,” Jean St. Fleur, the Jupiter store manager, said in a release. “This expansion furthers our commitment to providing the best for our customers.”
The expansion — which added about 40,000 square feet to the building — also created 80 new jobs, bringing the number of people employed to 330.
Walmart invited community members to take part in the festivities by enjoying fun family activities and free food samples from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
