Kick off the new year with a host of family-friendly, history-forward events at the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum all month long. From healing Twilight Yoga at the Light every Monday to Early Native History on the Loxahatchee tours and Family Adventure Day January 21, welcome 2023 with a whole lot of fun.

Family Adventure Day

Head to the Lighthouse January 21, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., for a family day on the waterfront. Travel back in time and choose your own adventure with living history, storytelling, games, music, arts and crafts, and hands-on activities. This year’s Family Adventure Day will boast educational and entertaining ways to explore our “History Shaped By Nature.” Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children older than 5 years. Timed-ticket entry required.

Historian at the Pavilion

History buffs are welcome January 25 for the monthly history talk, “The The Loxahatchee River Historical Society,” with the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum’s historian, Josh Liller. Historian at the Pavilion talks are free with general admission ticket. This outdoor program runs about 30 minutes and is weather dependent. RSVP is not required.

Lighthouse Sunset Tour

Climb 105 steps and take in the spectacular sunset views atop the lighthouse January 4, 11, 18, 25, all while learning a bit of history along the way. Tours are approximately 60 minutes long and guests must check-in 15 minutes prior. Attendees will receive a gift from Tommy Bahama Restaurant. Tickets are $25 and are available here.

Lighthouse Moonrise Tour

Catch the full moon rising above the Atlantic Ocean at this monthly tour January 5. Hear some amazing history on the breezy adventure. Tours are approximately 60 minutes long and guests must check-in 15 minutes prior. Tours are limited and weather permitting. Children must be accompanied by an adult and be at least 48 inches tall to climb the lighthouse. Tickets are $25 and are available here.

Twilight Yoga at the Light

Get your flow on and set your New Year’s intentions with yoga instructor Mary Veal Jan 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, from 6-7 p.m. This is an all-levels class where beginners are welcomed and encouraged. Participants should bring a yoga mat and water bottle. Meet at the museum 10 minutes prior to start time and guests must sign a waiver to participate. Twilight Yoga is weather dependent, and guests will be notified prior to any cancellation. Tickets are $10 and registration is available here.
