Futures Recovery Healthcare will present the first local boat-in movie theater in honor of the second annual Jupiter Recovery Day, in partnership with with Jupiter Pointe Club & Marina (18701 S.E. Federal Hwy., Tequesta, FL 33469), on Saturday, September 12 at 7:30 p.m. Guests are invited to arrive on boats to watch a free, socially distanced screening of Jaws on a 45-foot screen at the marina with FM transmission available for sound. Jupiter Pointe staff will be available to assist and guests arriving via boat must sign a Jupiter Pointe waiver.
Jupiter Recovery Day is an annual event founded by Tequesta-based Futures that honors and celebrates recovery from mental health and substance use disorders in the local community. All proceeds from this event will be donated to Believe With Me, a local charity supporting families of fallen soldiers. The event is open to the public.
“Jupiter Recovery Day was created to help normalize recovery from substance use and mental health disorders,” said Laura Kunz, Outreach and Community Liaison for Futures. “During a time when the national health pandemic is quickly becoming a national mental health pandemic, it’s important to come together as a community in a positive way and celebrate and honor those who seek help and those who support them.”
