It was just another night on the water when Calaveras Cantina team member Dustin Lackford went out on a boat ride in March, until a boating accident occured, crushing Lackford’s kidney and causing numerous breaks and injuries.
Three months later, following his treatments and a prolonged coma, Lackford is now awake and slowly improving.
To help with medical bills and continuing care, Calaveras Cantina is hosting a fundraiser on July 7, beginning at 9 p.m. The restaurant will be donating 100% of all sales, raffles and gift certificates to Lackford and his family.
The evening will include live music from a DJ, raffels and giveaways throughout the event.
In addition to the Calaveras Cantina fundraiser, there is a GoFundMe page set up for those who may not be able to attend the event.
