The lyrics and melodies of contemporary jazz artist Spencer Day will take over the Colony Hotel's Royal Room Cabaret for the first time Jan. 12 to 16. Day's hit song “Till You Come To Me” was No. 1 on the Contemporary Jazz Billboard charts, and his new album, “Daybreak,” debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes Jazz Chart. The Gardens Mall will host the exhibit “The Art of Dr. Seuss” from Jan. 17 through mid-February. It will feature more than 100 pieces of artwork, including limited-edition drawings, paintings and sculptures of the colorful and whimsical characters Seuss is known for creating. (tgmartofdrseuss.com)

The Willis Clan, a family of 12 home-schooled children and their parents who each boast different talents including musicians, dancers and writers, will perform at the Meyer Amphitheatre on Jan. 17.
