Island in the Sun

Island in the Sun Edit Delete Unpublish Submitted by admin on Thu, 2015-08-06 12:13 Ican’t go to sleep at night without checking to make sure my door is locked. Ever. I’m an overly paranoid, light sleeper who gets stirred by the slightest noise. That changed last month. I traveled to Parrot Cay, a private island in the Turks & Caicos. For the first time ever, I felt safe and comfortable enough in my surroundings to go to sleep without locking the doors. Celebrities are jet setting from all over the globe to claim a piece of Parrot Cay. See why this private island is worth the quick trip from Florida.Read more about Island in the Sun

Panama Rising

Panama Rising Edit Delete Unpublish Submitted by admin on Thu, 2015-08-06 09:34 Some are calling it the new Costa Rica.I’ve never been to Costa Rica, but from what I’ve seen and heard, Panama definitely rivals it – in beauty, history and adventure.Visitors and residents can sense that the country is on the cusp of something great. And after four days of exploring Panama, so could I.The country celebrated the 100-year anniversary of the famed Panama Canal in August and is in the middle of a massive project to expand the locks to accommodate heavier, larger ships. The southernmost country in Central America is having a breakthrough moment as the Panama Canal turns 100 and tourism begins to climb.Read more about Panama Rising

It’s Always Sunny in Curacao

Packing my bags for Curaçao, I threw in a bathing suit, a coverup, sunscreen and magazines. I was expecting to relax all weekend on the beach, cocktail in hand.

OUI PARIS!

OUI PARIS! Edit Delete Unpublish Submitted by admin on Wed, 2015-08-05 17:16 Magical moments become timeless treasures, especially on a journey to the City of Light. Our trip to Paris was no exception. Dear friends of many years decided their wedding anniversary gift to each other would be a month-long stay in the city of romance. Lucky for us, my husband and I didn’t need much encouragement to join them. We at least had to help them discover their next “favorite bistro” around the curving cobblestone corners of Ile Saint Louis. A journey to the City of Light never goes out of style.Read more about OUI PARIS!

The Colony is back

I’m not a native South Floridian. So it’s taken me time to learn the quirks and the intricacies that make up every pocket of South Florida – from the laid-back beauty of the Treasure Coast, to the international vibrancy of Miami, to the bustling waterways of Fort Lauderdale.

Peaceful Retreat

Usually, my phone is an extension of my hand – wiring me to a never-ending stream of emails, text messages and social media accounts. St. Pete Beach’s milky sands and cool, transparent waters had me detached. My device stayed tucked away with my belongings while I got a dose of UV rays and seafood.

FLOWER POWER

FLOWER POWER Edit Delete Unpublish Submitted by admin on Mon, 2014-05-05 10:39 I forgot that Disney’s Space Mountain was so thrilling. This twirling, twisting roller coaster thrusts you through space – even more exciting when you can’t anticipate the next drop because you’re in total darkness surrounded by stars. I loved every second. My last Disney experience happened a decade ago, but the combination of my passion for thrilling rides and a festival highlighting two favorite hobbies, gardening and cooking, lured me to Walt Disney World and the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival. Epcot's 21st International Flower and Garden Festival offers the chance to mingle with TV stars and brush up on cooking and gardening skills.Read more about FLOWER POWER
