About Charity: Since 2005, Vita Nova, Inc. has been the leader in helping young adults age 18 to 25 in Palm Beach County who are homeless or have aged out of foster care transition to independence. Vita Nova provides a stable, nurturing environment that includes services designed to assist youth in completing their education, gaining steady employment and finding suitable housing. Vita Nova is comprised of four main programs: Vita Nova Independent Living Services; the Spot; Vita Nova Village; and the Vita Nova Thrift Store. Vita Nova means “new life” in Latin, and was founded by Father Leo Armbrust, a man who believed that foster youth deserved a better quality of care. Through the efforts of the Vita Nova team members, its volunteers and its benefactors, older foster and homeless youth are given the opportunity to lead lives characterized by independence, self-determination and personal responsibility.

President: Howard Voss, M.D.

417 SE Balboa Ave., Stuart, FL 34994

About Charity: For more than 20 years, VIM’s mission has been to provide free, comprehensive health care to legal, adult residents of Martin County who earn less than 200 percent of the poverty level and are without access to health care. VIM Clinic provided more than $10 million worth of medical care last year. VIM’s volunteer medical professionals practice the art of medicine, not the business of health care, to give patients hope, dignity and a better chance of remaining productive members of our community.
