The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the Universal Christian Church. Its message is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs without discrimination. The Salvation Army works throughout the year to provide food and financial assistance to those in distress. Other programs offered include emergency disaster assistance, youth character building programs, a morning Breakfast Club (providing complimentary pastries, bread and coffee), Sunday worship services, bible studies and youth ministry. We also operate Compassion House, a transitional housing facility for women and children.
