Oceana Coffee will celebrate the season of giving one coffee bean at a time. The local coffee house’s third annual Cup of Kindness initiative will make a charitable contribution of $500 to the organization of their guests’ choice on Friday, December 4. Oceana Coffee patrons will have the opportunity to get to vote by dropping a single coffee bean into the jar denoting their favorite nonprofit, like Loggerhead Marine Life Center, The Arc of Palm Beach, and My Clinic of Jupiter.
This Friday’s event will take place with a maximum capacity in place and will also be held virtually on Facebook Live and Instagram Live (both @oceanacoffee).
“This unique program gives a special spotlight on our local charities to customers visiting Oceana Coffee or following us on social media,” said Amy Angelo, co-founder of Oceana Coffee. “We have found that that participants in our Cup of Kindness find some beautiful ways of collaborating and supporting each other, as well as newfound support from the community that may have never heard of their organization before.”
For this round of Cup of Kindness, Oceana Coffee launched special coffee blends for the specific charities. This allows the participants to share their special coffee with their followers and gives them the chance to raise funds for the entire quarter. These special coffees are listed on Oceana Coffee’s website and cost $20. Five dollars from each bag sold will go back to the charity.
