Here’s your chance to eat for a good cause.
On Thursday, June 30, Florida restaurants are coming together to donate a portion of the day’s profits to the victims and families of the Pulse nightclub shooting.
The initiative, called Dine Out for Orlando United, is an effort led by the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association in partnership with Visit Florida.
Each restaurant has made its own commitment, some donating a portion of total sales—Spoto’s Oyster Bar in Palm Beach Gardens, for instance, will donate 20 percent of lunch and dinner sales on June 30—and others collecting donations directly from guests and staff.
All proceeds will be donated to the OneOrlando Fund, which was formed after the June 12 massacre in order to provide support for those affected by the tragedy.
