Vamp up your happy hour at Downtown at the Gardens’ newest event, Free Style Fridays, which will feature food samples, wine tastings, shopping and more.
On Sept. 16, guests will get the chance to take a peek at local boutiques’ upcoming fall arrivals while enjoying wines from Frederick Wildman and Sons Importers and bites from Whole Foods Market. The festivities take place from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
“The basic premise is to invite people down for a happy hour type of event and to check out the food, fashion, music and just have fun at this huge party,” said Carla Davis, marketing director for Downtown at the Gardens.
Participants can expect special deals and brand new fashions in stores like Ceci Palm Beach, Lola Chiq, Blessed Boutique and Contemporary Living, which will be offering a 15 percent discount on the first piece purchased, followed by an additional 10 percent off all others.
“We’ve received an unbelievable amount of shipment in the last two weeks for fall, so we’re starting to get restocked on denim and getting ready for the demand that’s coming,” said Kayla Kogan, a personal stylist at Blessed Boutique.
97.9 WRMF’s Tracy St. George will be hosting the event, and a DJ will be playing music in center court to accompany the shopping and dining activities.
“I love the fact they’ve got the food and wine inside the shops, so it encourages the shoppers to go inside the actual stores,” said Contemporary Living owner Cynthia Heathcoe.
Free Style Fridays will occur on the third Friday of every month from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
