Keke van den Elzen

28, Pisces

Bartender at the Twisted Tuna, Waitress at the Taco Shack

What is your perfect date?

The word “date” almost makes me cringe and hide into my hermit shell. The thought of going with someone to a particular convention, such as a Halloween/video/anime or “other” convention, where cosplay [costume play] comes into play, makes me giggle and high on life. Of course, a pub visit afterward always puts me in a happy mood to end the day or night.

What is your hidden talent?

Some people may not know this but I did roller derby (KeKe van Bathory!), and sold steampunk accessories with are you afraid of?

I believe life should be carefree and magical. I strive to live in the moment. My fear is losing the ability to stay present with the experiences and the people I love. Life is too short to take it so damn seriously.

If you could have dinner with anyone (dead or alive), who would it be, and why?

E.T. I know it may consist of a lot of Reese’s Pieces, but I’m OK with that.

Tell us one fun fact about your childhood.

I was born and raised in Canada.

What’s a “deal breaker” in a potential relationship?

Codependency and smoking cigarettes.

What do you consider to be your biggest accomplishment?

Looking back, I see the courage I possessed in keeping an open mind and experiencing new adventures.

On the first date, do you split the check, have your date pay, or do you pick up the tab?

I split the check always. I believe things should be “Dutch” and that concept can be carried throughout the entire relationship. It must be the last name.
