Wedding date: May 25, 2013

What they do: Lauren is a law school graduate and Charlie is owner/general manager at Southern Waste Systems Onselecting The Breakers as thereceptionsite: “Growing up in Palm Beach County, I thought it would have been a dream come true to have a wedding at The Breakers,” Lauren says. “It just happened that all my family, his family and him were all interested in having the wedding there, too, so my dream came true.”

The engagement: The couple was on their way to a romantic weekend in Key Biscayne, where Chris was originally planning to ask Lauren to marry him. They decided to stop for a quick lunch at their favorite pizza restaurant in Palm Beach. Two hours later, Charlie couldn’t wait any longer and asked Lauren to marry him at the pizza shop.

Italian touches at the wedding: Charlie is from an Italian family, and it was important to both him and Lauren to incorporate some Italian touches in the ceremony. With the help of both sides of the family, they had a Viennese table with all the desserts, served Jordan almonds, and danced the tarantella.

First dance song: “It’s Your Love” by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. “The lyrics to the song just really applies to us,” Lauren says.

Mother-son dance: “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” by Katharine McPhee. Charlie danced the first half of the song with his mother and the second half with his aunt who was like a second mother to him.
