Young & Beautiful
Brittany Maité Boyer & Matthew Carl Bosher
WEDDING DATE: Feb. 15, 2014 WHERE: The Club at Admirals Cove
WHAT THEY DO: Brittany, 25, is an SEO specialist of Internet marketing at Waterfront Properties & Club Communities and Matthew, 27, is a punter for the Atlanta Falcons
HOW THEY MET: The pair met in high school and have been together for the past nine years.
WHEN THEY KNEW THEY’D FOUND “THE ONE”: Matthew played football at the University of Miami while Brittany went to the University of Florida. While they were apart, they realized how special their bond truly was. “No one would be able to replace Matt to me. He is my soul mate; the yin to my yang,” Brittany says.
THE ENGAGEMENT: Matthew surprised Brittany with a trip to Spain for the holidays. One night during the trip, he took her for a walk through Madrid’s botanical gardens, where he got down on one knee and proposed. “It was a magical experience in the middle of the night under the stars in Madrid,” Brittany says. “All I can say is he couldn’t have done any better than that.”
ON SELECTING ADMIRALS COVE AS THEIR VENUE: Matthew and Brittany explored options all over South Florida, from Miami to Jupiter. In the end, they selected the Jupiter spot because Brittany had grown up there and her mom and stepfather still live there. “It’s close to my heart,” she says.
DJ, PLAY THAT SONG
First dance as husband and wife: “Young and Beautiful” by Lana Del Rey. The lyrics: “Will you still love me when I’m no longer young and beautiful? Will you still love me when I’ve got nothing but my aching soul? I know you will.”
Mother-son dance: “Always and Forever” by Heatwave. Matthew’s mom, Ginny, chose this song. She calls the couple every time she hears it on the radio now.
Father-daughter dance: Brittany and her dad danced to John Mayer’s “Daughters.” She and her stepfather chose “You Can Let Go Now, Daddy” by Crystal Shawanda.
SAYING YES TO THE DRESS
Matthew and Brittany live in Atlanta during football season and in Jupiter during the off-season. Brittany found her dress at a boutique in Georgia called Joan Pillow Bridal. The Marchesa dress she chose was the third one she tried on. With its mermaid-shape, Chantilly lace, illusion neckline and tulle flare skirt, she immediately knew it was the one. “I knew I wouldn’t find one that could top it,” she says.
