After the work week ends, we all find ourselves doing one of two things: sleeping or celebrating the arrival of the weekend.
But with Guanabanas‘ new Latin Night series, partying it up certainly sounds like the better option.
Starting Saturday, Oct. 17, the Jupiter spot will host evenings of live music from some of South Florida’s best Latin bands. The monthly installment will kick off with a performance by Latin funk group Electric Piquete, which was recently named the best Latin band 2015 by the Miami New Times.
“This is something we have been meaning to do for quite some time,” said Matt Cahur from Roots Music, talent buyer for Guanabanas. “Reaction to Latin music is generally quite good up here, and if Electric Piquete’s performance during the summer was any indication, this night and subsequent nights will do very well here.”
The first Latin Night falls right after Hispanic Heritage Month, which spans from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15. The fun kicks off at 9 p.m. Entry is free and open to patrons 21 and older.
