Harbourside Place’s October Calendar Welcomes Fall With Farmers Market, Pumpkin Patch And More

Summer has officially come and gone, but luckily, fall isn’t too shabby here in Jupiter. 

Harbourside is welcoming the new season with a variety of fall-themed events, including costume contests (for kids and dogs), pumpkin patches, Halloween festivities and more.

Residents should also get ready for the return of the farmers market, which will kick off Oct. 25 and run through April. More than 50 vendors will be selling fresh vegetables like sweet potatoes, beets, carrots, squash and more, as well as smoothies, handcrafted cheese, jams and coffee.

Among the other activities to look forward to are weekly yoga and Tai Chi sessions, an exotic car show, live music and movies.

Here’s what to expect at Harbourside come October: 

One-Time Events:

Health at Harbourside – Saturday, Oct. 3, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Gardens Family Health Center is hosting an interactive health awareness event. Dr. McNabb will share his approach to holistic family care and the five principles in achieving optimal health. 

The American Family Life Lionfish Tournament & Jupiter Riverwalk 5K Run – Sunday, Oct. 4, at 7 a.m,. help protect Jupiter’s reefs from non-native Lionfish by participating in this fun spearfishing tournament or joining in a unique and environmentally friendly 5K run. 10-10-10 – Saturday, Oct. 10, at 10 a.m., be a 10 at this fun and interactive fitness class. Every 10 minutes, participants will try a new total body workout from local fitness groups including Gold’s Gym, Title Boxing, CrossFit Palm Beach and Blueline Surf & Paddle. Donations are encouraged and will benefit Women Making Waves, a local organization of high school girls bringing social and emotional health to the community. 

Exotic Car Show – Saturday, Oct. 10, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., stroll through Harbourside Place and view some of the most rare and exotic automobiles in the world while enjoying live music, kid’s zone and more. To register a car, email carshow@harboursideplace.com.

Our Sister’s Place: Shine the Light – Thursday, Oct. 15, from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m., take a stand against domestic violence and join Our Sister’s Place for a special candlelight vigil.

Pumpkin Bash – Saturday, Oct. 17, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., join Harbourside Place and Little Smiles for a family-fun day. Families can pick one free pumpkin from the pumpkin patch with a donation to Little Smiles. Kids are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes to trick-or-treat around Harbourside and guests will enjoy Halloween arts and crafts, petting zoo, inflatable games, face painting, balloon artist and more. 

Fall Fashion Accessory Social at Glitzy Girl – Thursday, Oct. 29, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., guests can fashion themselves in autumn colors by shopping for fall accessories from Glitzy Girl while enjoying green apple martinis, caramel apples and golden apple cider. 

‘Twas the Night Before Halloween! Movies on the Waterfront – Friday, Oct. 30, at 6:30 p.m., enjoy a free viewing of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone under the stars on the waterfront amphitheater. Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or chair.

Canine Costume Contest – Saturday, Oct. 31, at 6 p.m., it’s a Halloween event just for dog-lovers. Dress up your dog for Pucci & Catana Luxury Pet Boutique’s Canine Costume Contest and enjoy complimentary drinks, live music and lite bites for people and pooches alike. The first 25 dogs to arrive in costume will receive a goodie bag and the first place winner will receive a $200 Pucci & Catana gift card.  

A Spooktacular Night – Saturday, Oct. 31, starting at 6 p.m., spend Halloween at Harbourside Place and enjoy food from more than 10 restaurants. Local band Eclipse will play an eclectic mix of live music from top hits to old classics on the waterfront amphitheater.

 

Weekly Events: 

Think Pink, Shop Pink – All October long, purchase $5 raffle tickets at A Pink Princess to enter to win a $250 shopping spree. All proceeds benefit Jupiter Medical Center Foundation for Breast Cancer. 

Yoga by Luna – Every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., join an evening yoga class on the waterfront amphitheater that focuses on de-stressing the body after a long day. Donations are encouraged.

Friday Nights on the Waterfront – Oct. 2, 9, 16 and 23 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., enjoy live music on the Waterfront Amphitheater. This month’s performers are Jahzilla, Flashback, String Theory and Sierra Band, respectively. 

Saturday Tai Chi Classes by Agape Healing Arts – Oct. 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., learn this ancient Chinese Internal Arts exercise for more vitality with a free class on the amphitheater.  

Saturday Live Music – Oct. 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., enjoy live music as you shop and dine at Harbourside Place. This month’s performers are The Kinected, Wonderama, SubGroove, Jeff Harding Band and Eclipse, respectively.

Farmers Market – Every Sunday starting Oct. 25 through April 2016 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., stroll along the waterfront and enjoy a true farmers market with fresh fruits and vegetables, flowers, artisan baked goods, local seafood and more. 

Sunday Yoga – Every Sunday starting Oct. 25 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., join Power Yoga Tribe for a free yoga class with live music on the waterfront amphitheater. 

Island Sundaze – Oct. 4, 11, 18 and 25 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., listen to live island music on the waterfront amphitheater and enjoy great drinks from Calaveras Cantina as you let your cares drift away. This month’s performers include Chillakaya, Karlos Marz Band, Bryce Allyn and ARTIKaL Sound System, respectively.
