In less than three weeks, the largest ocean conservation festival in Palm Beach County will return. Loggerhead Marinelife Center’s 15th annual TurtleFest 2018: Together We Can! is being held on March 24 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Loggerhead Park.
Over 10,000 guests are expected at the free festival promoting conservation through interactions with threatened and endangered sea turtles, music, art, shopping, educational presentations, games and more.
The festival will officially begin at 10 a.m. with a 60-minute beach cleanup led by LMC staff and volunteers. Guests can then enjoy yoga by a certified instructor, kid friendly Jr. Vet Lab activities, conservation demonstrations, a rock wall, bounce house and more.
Visit sea turtles from LMC’s sea turtle hospital to get an up-close look at the animals that inspired the festival. Guests can “adopt” a sea turtle patient to benefit LMC’s efforts.
Food and drinks will be available, including a wide variety of fare like gyros, pizza, bruschetta, veggie wraps and craft beer and specialty drinks from Lagunitas and Naked Turtle Rum.
Live entertainment will be provided by Bryce Allen Band, Del Pelson, The Helmsem and Surfer Blood.
Guests can also shop at Vendor Row, with a selection by dozens of local artisans featuring handcrafted gifts like soy candles, soaps, photographs, pottery, paintings and jewelry.
