It’s hard being a snow bunny in South Florida, because there’s no snow—obviously. But being a South Floridian shouldn’t mean you can’t enjoy a winter adventure on top of some of the nation’s best ski mountains.

Westgate Park City Resort & Spa, located in Park City, Utah, at the base of the nation’s largest ski resort, is the luxury destination for Floridians looking to experience a true winter vacation. Here’s how we recommend you spend a five-day vacation at the resort to get the most out of the mountains, the restaurants, the spa and more.

Day 1

After spending your day flying across the country, all you’ll want to do is relax. Check in to your spacious villa, suite or loft (or the Presidential four-bedroom suite, if you want to get extra luxurious), take in the mountain views around you and unpack your bags.

If you worked up an appetite from all the traveling, but are too tired to get dressed up for a fancy dinner, head to Drafts Sports Bar & Grill, Westgate Park City’s sports bar that serves more than 50 beers from around the world, and features a menu of hand-crafted burgers and stone-hearth pizzas.

Day 2

Sip on java at the Coffee Bar before doing what you came to do: hitting the slopes. Westgate Park City has its own ski valet, that will take your skis to the slopes and bring them back to the resort to store overnight, and its own rental shop for skis and snowboards.

Westgate Park City is located at the base of Canyons Village at Park City ski and snowboard resort, with more than 7,300 skiable acres, over 300 ski runs, 38 lifts, seven terrain parks, 14 bowls, six natural half pipes, one super pipe and one mini pipe. The ski slopes’ levels range from beginner to expert.

After your day out on the slopes, curl up with a bottle of wine, available at The Marketplace & Liquor Store, and sit by the fireplace to relax.

Day 3

You don’t have to be a ski bunny to enjoy a winter vacation. Westgate Park City partners with a local dog sledding company and snowmobile company to coordinate other snow activities for its guests. Mush away or v’room your snowmobile engine as you explore Park City—both tours take guests around all four of the local Park City ski resorts.

If you get back from your tour thinking, “Whew, I need a break from the cold,” then head to Westgate Park City’s indoor/outdoor pool (the largest in Utah). The heated pool will relax your muscles and allow you to unwind before your dinner plans or night out on the town.

Day 4

Waking up on your fourth day at the resort will probably be a little hard. You’ll most likely be tired from the slopes and snow activities, and that’s why we recommend dedicating a day to relaxation during your winter getaway. Head to The Yoga Studio for a group or individual workout before spending the day at Serenity Spa, ranked as the number one spa in Utah by the 2017 Best of State Awards.

Serenity Spa features massages, facials, body wraps, nail care, hair removal, sacred stone therapy and more. The spa also includes 25-minute options for kids aged 8 to 15.

Day 5

Go out with a bang on your final day at the resort by going on a heli-ski trip with Powderbird. The company will bring you to the top of the Wasatch Mountains in a helicopter, where you’ll then be dropped off to ski to the bottom. Thrill seekers, this one’s for you.

Celebrate the end of your trip by dining at Edge Steakhouse on your final night at Westgate Park City. Led by chef Wayne Christian, Edge Steakhouse offers locally sourced and organically grown produce, including top-quality USDA Certified prime aged beef, Wagyu beef, wild-caught fresh fish and seafood that’s flown in daily.
