We already knew Jupiter was a good city for kids, but now it’s official.

new study by NerdWallet ranked Jupiter as the 29th best city in the state for young families to live. Jupiter ranked ahead of other Palm Beach County suburbs such as Palm Beach Gardens (80), Riviera Beach (114) and North Palm Beach (141).

NerdWallet created the ranking based off of four factors: home affordability, growth and prosperity, family friendliness, and educational quality. The data for these factors was taken from the U.S. Census Bureau’s 2013 American Community Survey.

In Jupiter, 18 percent of households have children, and families enjoy great educational options for their children. As the study notes, the average score for Jupiter schools is a nine out of 10, according to GreatSchools.
