Jupiter Seafood Festival Will Bring Music, Fun And Plenty Of Food To Carlin Park

Jupiter, are you ready for a weekend of fresh seafood, live music and entertainment for the whole family?

The 2016 Jupiter Seafood Festival will take over Carlin Park Saturday, Feb. 20, and Sunday, Feb. 21, with a variety of foods from local restaurants, such as Guanabanas and Double Roads Tavern, as well as local catering companies.

Expect delectable bites including grouper cheek tacos, shrimp empanadas, lobster and shrimp po’boys, lobster nachos, and gumbo.

Seven bands—including AC/DC and Fleetwood Mac tribute groups—will take to the stage over both days, playing classic rock, country and reggae tunes sure to have you grooving all day long.

While walking around the site, attendees can also do a little shopping from local vendors who will be selling everything from nautical art and apparel to jewelry and home decor accessories.

Previously held at Abacoa Town Center, the festival is expected to draw about 15,000 people over the course of the weekend.

After a year hiatus to secure a new location for the event, organizer Lainey Ruskay said the best part will be seeing everyone back together.

“It’s just two days that the local community can come out and listen to music, enjoy local seafood [and] shop local,” she said.

Plus, this year, attendees can experience the seafood fest in a new area that’s so close to the water.

“You can smell the ocean when you’re there,” she said.

Tickets are $10 for adults. Kids 12 and under are free. The festival will run from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Feb. 20, and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Feb. 21.
