Lighthouse ArtCenter will host a complimentary glass workshop exclusively for veterans with esteemed instructor Carolyn Austin in honor of Veterans Day on November 11. From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., veterans of all artistic skill levels are welcome for a day of creative expression and camaraderie. Lighthouse ArtCenter will provide all art supplies.

Lighthouse ArtCenter supports veterans in their journey toward healing and self-discovery through the power of art and provides ongoing art classes exclusively for veterans through the Art Fall All community outreach program, VeteransArts.

Veterans who partake in the Lighthouse ArtCenter‘s VeteransArts program have a chance to tap into their innate creativity, guided by first-class instructors, and with the emotional support of a nationally board-certified art therapist,” said Board Certified Art Therapist Shawna Scarpitti (ATR-BC). “These course opportunities allow our nation’s heroes to not only learn new techniques and visually express themselves, but they often gain new personal insights and heal through the powerful art-making process.”
