Live Like Jake, the local foundation created in the memory of Jake Roarke Morrison, will hold its seventh annual Live Like Jake 5K, on Saturday, May 8, starting at 7 a.m. Normally held in Abacoa, the race will take place in Riverbend Park. A mainstay in the racing community, the fun-filled day raises funds to provide scholarships for Infant Self-Rescue (ISR) swim lessons and for families who have either lost a child or who have critical care needs.
Participants will receive a signature finishing medal, high-performance race shirt, and custom swag bags. COVID safety measures will include a limited number of participants to maintain social distancing, sanitation stations, and mask wearing before and immediately after the race.

About Live Like Jake:
Keri and Roarke Morrison created the Live Like Jake Foundation in 2013 to raise awareness of childhood drowning prevention following the tragic drowning of their 2 year-old son. The foundation partners with other drowning prevention agencies and instructors, supports families who have experienced the same loss, and connects with members of the community to prevent these tragedies. Since its inception, the foundation has provided thousands of ISR scholarships and recently opened northern Palm Beach County’s first indoor, heated pool dedicated to ISR.
