Blackbird Modern Asian in Jupiter is ushering in the Year of the Rabbit with a Lunar New Year’s Eve Celebration January 21. The zodiac-inspired event kicks off at 4 p.m. and features a festive lineup of dining, music, and dancing all evening long.

The evening commences with the unveiling of hidden prophecies from Lunar New Year’s fortune cards using feng shui coins. Guests can indulge in a Lucky Rabbit Martini, crafted with tangerine bourbon, orange elixir, all spice, lime juice, and simple syrup, and toast to enlightened days ahead.

In honor of the holiday, Executive Chef Tim Nickey will serve lobster Cantonese with longevity noodles and ginger-scallion Chinese black bean sauce, blended with garlic, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, and Shaoxing wine. In Chinese culture, longevity noodles and lobsters symbolize long life. The regular menu also contains lucky dishes, including short rib and bone marrow dumplings (symbolizing wealth) and Peking duck (symbolizing fertility).

Save room for Executive Pastry Chef Denise Elrod’s Rabbit Bomb. This celebratory dessert features chunks of chocolate cake, salted peanut brittle ice cream, caramelized bananas, strawberries, edible flowers, and a rabbit mold melted tableside into a decadent dark chocolate sauce.

Reservations are accepted for tables of eight or larger based on availability. Walk-ins and seating begin at 4 p.m. Blackbird also hosts a daily happy hour menu with half-priced cocktails, wine, and beer from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
