1 – Something that most people don’t know about reality TV is: that the truth really is much stranger than fiction! A lot of what you see on reality television really is true.
2 – A TV show that I am absolutely addicted to is: “Shark Tank.” I love that the entrepreneurs are getting a chance to make their dreams a reality. I truly believe that real luck is when you are fully prepared, and then you get your opportunity. I recently co-authored The Ultimate Success Guide, and I’m so pleased that the proceeds raised will go toward a cause to help young aspiring writers and entrepreneurs.
3 – Helping Michael Jackson search for properties was: amazing. I showed Michael numerous properties, and he fell in love with my listing Tyecliffe – a magnificent medieval waterfront castle nestled on almost three acres. I was mesmerized watching as Michael danced and sang in each room. Ultimately, Michael’s offer did not go through, and I am sad to say that today Tyecliffe no longer exists, as the buyer who purchased the estate bulldozed the castle.
4 – Being one of the most powerful women in the world of Miami real estate means: a lot of pressure and responsibility. You really have to love and be passionate about what you do. My father always said that “persistence wears down resistance,” and I have an unbelievable drive and insatiable determination that keeps me going.
5 – I found myself speechless when it came to my first encounter with: Ellen DeGeneres. I met Ellen at the Elton John Oscars party the year that she and Portia de Rossi were hosting it. I truly admire her spunk and style. She is witty, smart and extremely talented. I found myself completely, and unexpectedly, in awe of her.
6 – If I had not become a rock star of luxury real estate, I would have: become a fashion designer. Fashion is my other love. I love creating designs and working with fabrics. I design clothes for myself as a hobby. Fashion and art are extensions of my own personality.
7 – One of my all-time favorite celebrity clients is: Michael Bay, director of the “Transformers” movie franchise. I have never met anyone as brilliant with such a creative mind, and amazing imagination. I was pleasantly surprised to learn about his passion for real estate, architecture and design. He is not only gifted in making movies but also in designing rooms and homes. He has an ability to transform plain rooms into creative masterpieces.
