Orchid City Brass will present “Brass from the Past,” a concert featuring classic hits from the 1960s and 1970s on March 2, kicking off at 7 p.m. at Jupiter Community High School. The concert will include special guest Tom “Bones” Malone and host and emcee Frank Cerabino of The Palm Beach Post.
Malone is a trombonist, multi-instrumentalist, arranger, and producer best known for his work with The Blues Brothers, David Letterman Show, and Saturday Night Live. He has played on more than 4,400 television shows, 3,000 radio and television commercials, and thousands of live performances worldwide. Malone will give a clinic to local music students from middle school and high school on March 1, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Jupiter Community High School. They will perform with him at the concert.
“Brass from the Past” will highlight music by The Blues Brothers, Elton John, The Beatles, Spinners, Queen, Blood Sweat and Tears, and more. Tickets are $25 for adults and free for students. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit orchidcitybrass.org.
