Members of the Palm Beach County legal community and their friends descended upon the Palm Beach County Convention Center to celebrate 30 years of pro bono services to the disadvantaged and vulnerable members of our community. Legal Aid's Executive Director Bob Bertisch received the Lifetime Serving Justice Award.
The seventh annual signature golf tournament took place at Dye Preserve Golf Club in Jupiter and raised more than $160,000 to help families in crisis return to stability. Funds raised from the sold-out event provide assistance to more than 2,000 families in Palm Beach County.
The event was held at an elegant French chateau in Admirals Cove to support the Jerome Golden Center for Behavioral Health. In keeping with the theme, guests were served Champagne and French crepes as they admired work by artists like Rolando Chang Barrero.
West Palm Beach raised nearly $15,000 for 15 local non-profits through its annual “Summer in Paradise” entertainment campaign. Guests bid on the summer-long art installation, the “Fairy Tale Playhouses,” to raise awareness of the need for affordable housing.
More than 300 Federation and Jewish community leaders met at Zinman Hall for the annual meeting where Arthur Goldberg took the reins as the new chair. Additional awards were given out for members' efforts.
