At Craft Bar Kitchen In Jupiter, Worldly Cuisine Meets Charming Character

Worldy cuisine meets charming character at this Indiantown Road hotspot.

Sitting at the dark wooden bar, mixologist Marita Blume prepares one of the signature drinks off the menu. She starts with an orange slice and muddles it in a crystal glass, then she adds a dash of Angostura aromatic and another of orange bitters. After some homemade cinnamon agave and Basil Hayden’s bourbon, she adds ice and gives the mixture a proper stir before double straining it into a decanter. She finishes up by using a smoke gun to infuse cherry wood aromas. The finished product is the Cinn Fashioned—a smoky and citrusy Old Fashioned found at Craft Bar Kitchen.

Step foot inside the chic restaurant, and it might feel as if you’ve traveled back to an era reminiscent of jazz, delicious food and ample floor space for dancing feet. Craft Bar Kitchen is located where old hot spots used to stand, like Burt Reynold’s Backstage Restaurant and Lounge and Christine’s. “We’ve revamped [the restaurant] to its glory days, and we’re trying to bring back the elegant nightlife style back to Jupiter,” General Manager Dormal Allen says.

The restaurant serves an eclectic menu with new American world cuisine, including shared plates, Asian hot pots and delectable dumplings, to award-winning burgers, truffle fries and sliders all made from scratch. The bar is another treasure in itself where you won’t find pre-made mixes, draft beer or a coke gun in sight. Everything is hand-squeezed, hand-muddled and served fresh.

Truly Craft

Options off the menu are endless. Favorites include octopus cooked sous vide for 12 hours then charred, delicious Maine lobster rolls with truffle and lemon confit and “macaroni and cheese” (calamarata pasta stuffed with cheese and topped with a fondue) that can be eaten with chopsticks. Other delectable dishes include Asian hot pot noodle bowls, chicken and waffles made with a jalapeño bacon waffle and honey chili glaze, and the famous CBK burger.

Happenings

The restaurant prides itself in being the place for locals to dine and have fun, so be sure to stop by for some delicious food and stay for live entertainment offered Wednesdays through Saturdays. Or, join for happy hour Tuesdays through Fridays with two-for-one singles and specially priced appetizers. Don’t miss out as the restaurant hosts a “Casino Night” party to celebrate its one-year anniversary on Nov. 17 with roulette, poker and blackjack, plus prizes and giveaways.
