Bernard McCormick is the publisher of Gulfstream Media Group, which operates the flagship magazine Gold Coast. He was part of the staff that pioneered the modern city magazine at Philadelphia before moving to Florida in 1970. A graduate of La Salle University in Philadelphia, he roots for all Big Five basketball teams, except when they play the Explorers.
Publisher Donna Lewis is a graduate of the University of Florida and has been a resident of Jupiter for over 20 years. Serving as publisher for both Jupiter Magazine and The Palm Beacher since 2010, she oversees the daily operations including advertising sales, marketing, editorial, events, circulation and social media and is deeply ingrained in the local community, serving on several nonprofit committees and supporting more than 35 charity events a year. She is a native Floridian and has found her passion connecting readers to relevant content in our local area. She is a member of the Florida Magazine Association and the City Regional Magazine Association. Tanya Lorigan, senior account manager, is an alumna of both Florida State University and Florida Atlantic University. She spent 15-plus years as a director of marketing for Shadow Marine and national account manager for Boat International Media. She joined the Gulfstream Media Group team in 2013 and works with all the publications, but focuses mainly on Jupiter Magazine and The Palm Beacher. Laura Zele is a sales account executive for Gulfstream Media Group, focusing on Jupiter Magazine and The Palm Beacher print and digital editions. She has over 20 years of experience in sales and marketing consulting and most recently worked as marketing director for Ballet Palm Beach. Prior to that, Laura worked at AT&T Wireless in sales and marketing throughout Florida. She earned a bachelor of science degree in business from the W.P. Alyssa Morlacci is the managing editor of Gulfstream Media Group. She moved to South Florida after graduating from the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Kent State University in Ohio. During her time at Kent State, she attained high honors and served as editor-in-chief of the university’s award-winning magazine, The Burr. Following graduation, Alyssa worked for Cleveland Magazine and The Independent in Ohio, and for South Florida’s Sun-Sentinel. When she isn’t obsessing over sentence structures, she’s likely sipping a cup of coffee, packing her bags for a weekend trip or participating in the latest exercise fad.
Melissa Puppo joined Gulfstream Media Group as associate editor upon graduating from Kent State University’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication. She held numerous student media positions, including editor-in-chief of A Magazine, Kent State's fashion publication. She served as a student ambassador for the College of Communication and Information and interned at WHIRL Magazine. Although she hails from Pittsburgh, South Florida was always a part of her life growing up. She won't be trading in her black and gold spirit anytime soon, though, and will gladly cheer for all Pittsburgh sports team, especially the Pirates. Craig R. Cottrell
Our esteemed art director was born in New York and raised in South Florida. He is a graduate of the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. While destiny initially pointed to a career as an illustrator, like his grandfather, graphic design and eventually web design became his focus. He joined Gulfstream Media Group in 2000 and was promoted to art director soon after. As art director, his duties include the design of all editorial pages and covers. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, surfing, playing guitar and the endless pursuit of breaking par.
Susan Dorta earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts with a Specialization in Graphic Design at Barry University, and she puts it to good use as the Graphic Artist at Gulfstream Media Group. During her time at Barry, she earned high honors, her work was exhibited in Barry’s gallery multiple times and she redesigned the university’s radio station logo. She also served as the Assistant Marketing Coordinator for The Department of Student Involvement & Engagement, and the Graphic Designer for the university’s newspaper, The Barry Buccaneer. Susan also published an academic paper in Queens City Writers’ Journal, titled “Greek Mythology and Modern American Comic Books: How the Heroes of the Ancients Influenced the Superheroes of Today.” Overall, Susan considers herself to be someone who’s passionate about life in general—especially fiction, as the topic of her paper suggests. In her free time, she’s likely creating graphics for fun, talking about her favorite fictional characters or reading about space, dinosaurs and other fascinating aspects of the universe.
Kaleigh is Gulfstream Media Group's production coordinator. Originally born in Ohio, she was raised in South Florida and considers herself a local. She joined the Gulfstream team after graduating from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Arts in public relations, advertising and applied communication. Out of office you can find her trying out new spots or touring through new towns. Kaleigh is a connoisseur of coffee, culture and premium content.
