The ‘Art Of Dr. Seuss’ Collection Is Coming To The Gardens Mall, And It Will Give You A Peek Into The Author’s Private Works

Palm Beach Gardens is about to get Seussified.

The Art of Dr. Seuss” collection is coming to The Gardens Mall next year, and shoppers and fans of the iconic children’s books will get to enjoy the known and unknown works from the life of beloved author Theodor Seuss Geisel—free of charge.

In addition to creations from his iconic Dr. Seuss books, the exhibit, which runs Jan. 17 though Feb. 14, will showcase private artworks and paintings that Geisel created for fun, as well as bronze and 3D “unorthodox taxidermy” sculptures with wacky names like the Goo-Goo-Eyed Tasmanian Wolghast.

Of course, no Dr. Seuss event is complete without colorful celebration: Each weekend throughout the length of the exhibit, the Maltz Jupiter Theatre will provide a musical tribute to Dr. Seuss at the mall, with live performances choreographed by the theater’s own Brian Andrews, who starred in Broadway shows such as “Cats.”

“The Art of Dr. Seuss” collection is presented in conjunction with the Ann Jackson Gallery in Atlanta.

“We are proud to provide the South Florida community a rare opportunity to view and learn about the artistic legacy of Theodor Seuss Geisel, one of the most significant American icons of our time,” gallery owner Valerie Jackson said.

See something you like? A portion of sales from the exhibition will go toward the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County to support the arts.
