Get ready to mingle with some margaritas in hand: Cabo Flats is set to open in Jupiter on Aug. 25.
The Mexican restaurant, located at 1352 S. US Highway 1, will be the South Florida chain’s second stand-alone location, allowing for management to host street fair-like events in the sizable parking lot.
“We are thrilled to become a part of the thriving Jupiter community and look forward to serving our neighbors the very finest and freshest food in the area,” Cabo Flats owner Steve Giordanella said in a release.
The chain currently has locations open in Stuart and Delray, and the Jupiter spot will be branded with sugar skulls as part of the decor, much like the other two restaurants. The eatery will also be in close proximity to the Jupiter Riverwalk.
For those looking to unwind after a long workday, or just enjoy a drink on the weekend, happy hour will be hosted twice a day, everyday. Patrons can enjoy deals on cocktails, wine, beer and appetizers—such as avocado fries, beef empanadas, tacos and ceviche—from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. to close.
With plans to open the freestanding Jupiter location, as well another store in West Palm Beach’s CityPlace, Cabo Flats closed its doors at its original restaurant in Palm Beach Gardens in May.
Restaurant representative J.P. Hervis said he expects to see regulars from the old location, as well as new diners, at the Jupiter eatery.
“We have really been moved by the volume of our guests who have consistently asked how this Jupiter location is coming along and when is it going to open,” he said. “We are confident we will also see Cabo Flats fans from Stuart and the Delray Beach area, as well as downtown West Palm Beach residents who want to get a taste test of what they will see in just a few months when our location opens in [CityPlace].”
The West Palm location is set to open in the fall. Two other locations are planned for the Miami area: Dolphin Mall (opening at the end of 2015) and Doral (opening in 2016).
