Several years have passed since Singer Island saw any new luxury residential development, so the opening of VistaBlue Singer Island this season marks a pivotal moment – and luxury property buyers are taking note. In addition to being the first luxury condominium to grace the island in nearly a decade, it’s the only oceanfront luxury high-rise opening in early 2018 in all of Palm Beach County.
Excellent timing aside, there are many elements that place VistaBlue Singer Island in a class all its own. Located on one of the most pristine stretches of beach in all of Florida, the 19-story tower has just 58 luxuriously appointed residences, offering exclusivity and privacy unattainable almost anywhere else.
Then there is the breathtaking contemporary design by architects GliddenSpina and award-winning firm Interiors by Steven G. Spacious residences feature high ceilings, open modern floor plans, floor-to-ceiling windows, and oversized wrap-around terraces offering sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean and Intracoastal Waterway. Imported Carrara porcelain tile flooring and designer kitchens with Poggenpohl® custom cabinetry and Miele® appliances illustrate developer Third Palm Capital’s commitment to quality craftsmanship.
Striking a balance between opulence and comfort was key, said designer Steven Gurowitz, whose firm designed the residences as well as the social spaces – which include an elevated pool terrace and sundeck overlooking the Atlantic, a club room and social lounge with two bars, and a state-of-the-art fitness center with men’s and women’s locker rooms and saunas.
“Singer Island is a very laid-back place where people go for a bit of peace and quiet and to get in touch with the sand and the water,” he said. “So we deliberately chose elements that are timeless, organic and relaxed. That said, people here also have extravagant tastes, so the design always needs to be Five Star.”
The show-stopping lobby, for example, features silk fabrics from Italy, custom millwork, and a dramatic, back-lit, floor-to-ceiling wall of black onyx. In the social lounge, by contrast, an ambiance of relaxed sophistication is achieved with classic furniture in earth-tone colors, with aquatic jewel-tone blue accents.
Light is integral to the design. In the residences, this is achieved through dropped ceilings with recessed, LED lighting that can be dimmed for ambiance. Elsewhere, architectural lighting is used for dramatic effect – for example, to light up the 2000-bottle, floor-to-ceiling wine wall in the property’s Club Room.
Ultimately, the developer set out to create a property that would set a new standard for design, quality and luxury on Singer Island.
“There’s no question in my mind that this will be the most beautiful residential project on all of Singer Island,” said Gurowitz.
VistaBlue Singer Island will be delivered, move-in ready, in early 2018. Prices start at $1.4 million and go up to nearly $8 million for penthouse residences. For more information, visit www.vistabluesingerisland.com.
