    Organization: In The Shade
    Name: Jan Dean

Jan Dean, and her husband Bill, are owners at In the Shade. She is a graduate from the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale with an interior design degree. She started the business 36 years ago after leaving a sales representative position with a wholesale window covering manufacturer. Today the diversity of window coverings has changed dramatically and with the change comes constant learning and training. The choices offered have multiple features such as light control, privacy, room darkening, energy efficiency, aesthetics, and above all the ability to motorize and automate. With the addition of the Smart Home feature, clients can position their blinds to different settings anytime of the day of week without touching a button.
It takes a team to orchestrate the symphony of a well-dressed window covering, and In the Shade is well prepared. From initial consultation and selections, discussion and coordination for wiring the home for motorization, ordering, manufacturing, receiving, scheduling, and installation it is all hands on deck. Our end result is to meet client expectations.
In the Shade has a state-of-the-art, motorized Hunter Douglas Gallery showroom with large displays of their product line along with draperies, valances, wallpapers, and fabrics that will tantalize your imagination. Let the experts at In the Shade create your vision of home.
