Philanthropy abounds in Palm Beach County—just ask the team behind the Waterfront Way Foundation. Launched in 2018 by Rob Thomson, managing partner of Waterfront Properties & Club Communities, the foundation has focused mainly on serving those “who don’t necessarily fit in someone else’s box,” says Thomson.

Such was the case when Waterfront Way gifted Jupiter High School students a shiny new school bus as a holiday gift following a match-by-match donation where a total of $107,000 was raised for the new bus. The old bus had no air conditioning nor wheelchair access, making travel difficult for those in the Exceptional Student Education Program, which brings students to area businesses for hands-on training. Focused on enriching the lives of Jupiter High School Bus Donation, image courtesy of Waterfront Way Foundation 2children, the foundation has done much to help the community, including sending foster children from Place of Hope on vacations with their families and partnering with Big Dog Ranch Rescue to cover adoption fees so 25 first responders could take home an animal during the holidays. Future plans include helping Jupiter High School raise funding to ensure students have a football season come fall.
