7 Cinco De Mayo Events Happening Throughout Palm Beach County

Cinco de Mayo is synonymous with guacamole, tacos and margaritas, but not everyone knows that the day commemorates the Mexican military’s victory over the French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. 

Join in on the celebration at these seven local businesses throughout Palm Beach County that are hosting their own fiestas.

Calaveras Cantina

Harbourside Place restaurant Calaveras Cantina’s annual block party will feature live music by a mariachi band and DJ Lucho, drink specials and delicious Mexican food. Three Chihuahua races will be held and all the money raised will benefit Jupiter Dog Rescue. Don’t worry about having to wait if the restaurant is full—there will be an outdoor taco tent and three outdoor bars with specials on tequila, craft margaritas and mojitos.
