North Palm Beach residents looking to up their cooking game will be happy to know specialty grocer Doris Italian Market opens this weekend.

The market—located at the Shoppes at City Centre on the southwest corner of PGA Boulevard and US 1—will welcome customers starting Friday, Jan. 29, at 8:30 a.m. The big grand opening celebration, held Feb. 20, will feature wine and food tastings, raffles and giveaways.

The 22,000-square-foot space will include Doris staples, such as a full service meat department and seafood department, as well as an outdoor cafe, coffee bar, authentic Italian-American deli, and stations featuring made-to-order brick oven pizzas, gelato, and homemade mozzarella.

Doris has five other locations throughout South Florida, but the North Palm Beach store will be the largest—and most unique, even featuring two bocce ball courts where customers can engage in the popular Italian pastime.

“This store elevates the shopping experience with dine-in options and creating a space for people to gather and enjoy authentic Italian cuisine,” a representative for the store said.

Shoppers can also expect a wide selection of fresh fruits, vegetables, olive oils, pastas, Italian desserts and wine, as well as old fashioned butcher shop service that allows customers to request favorites like veal cutlets, Osso Buco and the signature Italian sausages.
