Fall is officially here and Loggerhead Marinelife Center (LMC) in Juno Beach will celebrate with an array of immersive programs starting in October.

Early Access Tours

On Tuesdays through Saturdays at 9 p.m., enjoy exclusive, one-hour tours of LMC. Explore the center’s sea turtle patients and outdoor hospital, while gaining a deeper understanding of the turtles’ journeys from their rescue and diagnosis to rehabilitation and release. Tickets are $25.

Junior Veterinary Lab

Beginning October 4, kids will become “certified” junior veterinarians while learning about the care provided to endangered sea turtles. The center’s sea turtle rehabilitation team will work alongside kids to showcase the care provided to endangered sea turtles on replica green sea turtles. Starts October 4. The labs take place on Saturdays and Sundays at 3:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 per child ages 6 to 10.

Hatchling Tales Story Time

This 30-minute program includes an ocean-inspired story and a themed drawing activity. A new story will be selected each week beginning October 1. Story time takes place on Sundays and Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m., and is free for children ages 5 and younger.

Juno Dunes Natural Area Hike

Led by one of the center’s experienced naturalists, head out on a free 45-minute hike into the coastal hammock habitat next to LMC. The excursion teaches guests about the importance of South Florida’s coastal ecosystems and helps them identify plants and animals. The tours begin on October 31 with a special Halloween-themed hike.

Kids Fishing Program

At the Juno Beach Pier, kids will learn basic techniques for fishing, including knot tying, casting, fish handling, and proper catch-and-release methods. All fishing bait and equipment will be provided by the Center and is supported by the Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County. The program takes place on alternating Saturdays and Sundays at 10 a.m. beginning October 2. Tickets are $10 per child ages 10 to 14.

Living Beaches

This weekly program provides a hands-on learning session where guests will discuss South Florida’s beach habitat before exploring the shores. The free program will be hosted on Mondays at 10:30 a.m. starting October 6.

Sensory Saturdays

On the first Saturday of each month, adults and children with sensory sensitivities can explore the center’s outdoor hospital and indoor exhibits with minimal crowds and reduced lighting and sound.
