In a year defined by the ability to pivot, Fresh Rx launched a selection of farm-to-table fine dining and meal delivery experiences to help provide the community with opportunities to enjoy uniquely crafted, nutritious meals in the comfort of home this season, all whiling supporting local farms. Proceeds will benefit local Fresh Rx outreach programs.
“As we continue to navigate the pandemic, we’ve seen an increased demand for fresh, organic fruits and vegetables that are proven to boost the immune system,” said Margaret Duriez, co-founder of Fresh Rx. “Since we’re unable to host our annual farm to-table fundraising events this season, we’ve developed a series of offerings that allow people to enjoy a chef-inspired, healthy meal with their families in the comfort of their own homes while supporting nutritionally vulnerable members of our community.
Fresh Rx will debut a Chef-to-Table Experience featuring unique vegetarian or pescatarian menu prepared by a leading Fresh Rx chef partner–local phenoms like Jimmy Everett of Driftwood; Michael Hackman of Aioli; Albert Molla and Pierangelo Badioli of Acqua; and Kent Thurston of Cucina Palm Beach will all lend their talents to the initiative–paired with seasonal cocktails curated by mixologist Jules Aron.
Customers can take their farm-fresh meals to go with the Farm to Your Doorstep initiative and learn how to prepare delicious, nutritious meals with the ingredients through the Virtual Cooking Experience (featuring celebrity chef and restaurateur Marc Murphy on Jan. 12, Feb. 16, March 16, and April 13).
Proceeds from the farm-to-table fine dining and meal delivery experiences will be used to purchase fresh produce from local, family-owned farms for distribution to nutritionally vulnerable members of the community through the organization’s three programs: Fresh Rx Patient Program, Fresh Rx Kids, and Fresh Rx Express.
