What pairs best with bourbon? Sliders, of course!
Lucky Shuck Oyster Bar & Taphouse at Charlie & Joe’s at Love Street recently unveiled a Bourbon & Sliders special, available on Thursdays from 4 to 10 p.m. Bourbon enthusiasts and novices alike can enjoy selections from Lucky Shuck’s flight tiers and slider trios.
Guests can choose from three flight tiers, including the High Standards ($35), The Special and Few ($50), and the Rare Finds ($75). The three sliders that will accompany each flight include the vaca frita, a braised skirt steak with mojo aioli and crispy tobacco plantains; the truffle asiago beef, served with asiago aioli, Swiss cheese, caramelized mushroom duxelles, and fried shallots; and the pulled pork, served with bourbon maple barbecue sauce, fried shallots, and pimento cheese.
In the The High Standards flight, diners will savor pours of Buffalo Trace, Jefferson’s Very Small Batch, Eagle Rare, Isaac Bowman, Elijah Craig, Redwood Empire, Yellowstone, 1792 Small Batch, Jack Daniels Bonded, and Jack Daniels Triple Mash, as well as Sazerac, Templeton, and High West Double Rye ryes.
The Special and Few flight features pours of Blanton’s, Basil Hayden, Horse Soldier, Michter’s, E.H. Taylor Single Barrel, Stagg Jr., and E.H. Taylor Small Batch, as well as Whip Saw, Michter’s, and E.H. Taylor ryes.
The Rare Finds flight offers pours of Blanton’s Gold, Shenk’s, Jefferson’s Ocean, W.L. Weller, Blanton’s Straight from the Barrel, George T. Stagg, and Bomberger’s Declaration, as well as Angel’s Envy, WhistlePig 10 Year, and Thomas H. Handy ryes.
