Nina Gelardi is an accomplished artist, designer, and entrepreneur whose passion for creativity is at the heart of Juno Shoe Girl Boutique, located at The Jupiter Yacht Club Marina and another location in Hobe Sound. With a bachelor of fine arts from The School for American Craftsmen at Rochester Institute of Technology and advanced training in accessory design, Gelardi has spent over two decades redefining coastal resort style.
Before moving to Florida in 2007, Geraldi started a career as a ceramic artist and owned Clayphernalia, a pottery and gallery near Princeton, New Jersey that showcased her original designs of home accessories, dinnerware and clay sculpture. During her time in New Jersey, she later launched Nina Gelardi Designs, a women’s accessory line of handmade belts with ceramic buckles, leather handbags, and fashion jewelry selling to boutiques around the country.
In 1998 Gelardi was hired as senior designer and creative director for Arteffects Footwear in Atlanta, where she moved to design for several international footwear labels. While at Arteffects, she travelled to many countries including Brazil, Italy, India, and China for new inspiration and to find unique materials for her work. Her award-winning designs have been recognized by Florida’s Boutique Awards and the National Footwear Artisan Collective.
Gelardi, along with Sue Miller opened Juno Shoe Girl Boutique in Hobe Sound in 2012 and with Genie Murray at the Jupiter location in 2015. The boutique, named for Juno the Roman Goddess of women, features her handmade sandals crafted in Brazil with hand-dyed leathers and interchangeable jewelry ornaments, alongside carefully curated resort wear, handbags, jewelry, and gifts.
Gelardi and her team are deeply committed to supporting causes that empower women, protect animals, and promote inclusion. She proudly collaborates with Furry Friends Adoption Clinic & Ranch, SafeSpace, and Ernie Els Foundation for Autism, to name just a few.
In addition to Juno Shoe Girl, Gelardi owns two sister boutiques in Hobe Sound: Posh Pineapple and The Lavish Palm. These stylish destinations offer a broader selection of unique home decor and lifestyle accessories that continue to captivate and inspire her clientele.
