North Palm Beach’s Paradise Tavern doesn’t try too hard. It doesn’t have to. The new spot from Dan Newkirk and Cassidy Flannery (owners of Jupiter’s popular Hap & Hooch) feels like someone finally decided the word tiki didn’t have to mean kitsch.
Inside, the bar hums in teal and coral, and globe lights abound. But out back is where things really hit. The patio leans over the water—yellow tables catching the sun, fans spinning, the breeze carrying that mix of salt and grill smoke that always feels like the real South Florida of old.

Golden Hour (aka Happy Hour) here runs Wednesday through Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. Standout orders? The Skinny Dip Margarita made with tequila, lime, and agave hits clean and bright. The Bad Monkey Old Fashioned—a mix of Whistle Pig bourbon, Demerara, and bitters—is strong enough to slow you down. When hunger strikes, go for the wings with guava barbecue or the shrimp corn dog skewers. The Brussels sprouts with papaya walnut salsa might steal the show, while the burger seals the deal.
By sunset, the lake mirrors everything back. The color, the calm, the hum of people who got exactly what they came for. Paradise Tavern doesn’t perform. It just exists the way it should.
