VoLo Foundation’s Florida Climate Week returns October 5-11, uniting residents to tackle Florida’s most urgent climate challenges and to advance sustainable solutions. During the week, Floridians can take part in a variety of free, virtual, and in-person events across the state hosted by nonprofits, businesses, and educational institutions, including the West Palm Beach-based nonprofit, ANGARI Foundation.
Organized by VoLo Foundation, Florida Climate Week raises awareness, shares knowledge, and drives solutions for a sustainable and resilient future for Florida. In Palm Beach County, ANGARI Foundation will host an event for all ages at the Safe Harbor North Palm Beach Marina on October 8, from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Meet the ANGARI team and become a scientist for a day by touring the Foundation’s 65-foot research vessel, R/V ANGARI. While aboard, learn how to measure a shark, study coral reefs, and operate a research vessel. Following the tour, decorate biodegradable Lagoon Drift cards and learn about Palm Beach County’s local waterways. Guests can also enjoy live music and a food truck.
