Back in the spring, we asked readers to nominate their favorites in 76 categories, everything from personalities like chefs, musicians, artists, and influencers to places like boutiques, breweries, spas, and surf shops. Once the finalists were determined in each category, we asked you to vote for your top picks—and your voices were heard, loud and clear!
We received more than 10,000 ballots, and after tallying the results, we’re excited to
reveal the winners (and runners-up). Here are your picks for “Best Of” Dining in the Jupiter Area:

Tim Nickey, Blackbird

Chef Tim Nickey made the move to South Florida from Philadelphia 25 years ago and quickly became a force on the local culinary scene.
The Palm City resident worked in the kitchens at eateries including Abe & Louie’s, Morton’s, Kapow! Noodle Bar, and Lucky Shuck before being tapped to open Jupiter’s Blackbird Modern Asian in 2022, where he is the executive chef. The popular restaurant—owned by Three Amigos Hospitality Group, where Nickey is also a partner—opened a second location in Naples this past June. And to keep himself plenty busy, Nickey also serves as corporate chef for PapiChulo Tacos (in Jupiter and Royal Palm Beach), all while raising two young sons with his wife, Lenia. Says Nickey of being chosen by readers as one of the top chefs in the area: “I spent most of my career in Miami, so it’s a great feeling to have such love and support up here, where I’ve worked and lived for over a decade.”
Nickey’s cooking mantra: Food should delight the eye as much as the palate, which I achieve by melding bold, luscious flavors and ingredients with an artful presentation.

Favorite dish at Blackbird: Our Peking duck—moist, perfectly crispy, and it takes three days to prepare.
Bestseller on the menu: Mongolian brisket bao buns.
Craziest kitchen moment: It was more funny than crazy, but when I was executive chef at China Grill in South Beach, a huge opossum wandered into the dry storage at the back of the kitchen and wouldn’t leave willingly, so I had to use a broom to “escort” it back onto 5th Street.
Dream dinner guest you’d love to cook for: Roy Yamaguchi. His unique approach to food and the spirit of his restaurants have deeply influenced how I cook and create.
On the horizon:
