The Palm Beach Shakespeare Festival celebrates the thirty-fifth anniversary of Shakespeare by the Sea with a free outdoor production of William Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale. Presented in partnership with Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation, this beloved summer tradition returns to the Seabreeze Amphitheatre at Carlin Park in Jupiter for two weekends: July 10–13 and July 17–20.

Directed and adapted by artistic director Trent Stephens, this year’s production brings to life one of Shakespeare’s later and most genre-blending works—a story that weaves drama, romance, and comedy. The Winter’s Tale follows the downfall and redemption of King Leontes, whose unfounded jealousy toward his wife Hermione leads to heartbreaking consequences and the banishment of their newborn daughter, Perdita. Spanning 16 years, the play blossoms into light-hearted romance as Perdita falls in love with Florizel, the son of Leontes’ former friend, leading to reconciliation and renewal.

Don’t miss the Town of Jupiter Centennial Night on July 12, featuring a free t-shirt giveaway for the first 100 guests. Gates open nightly at 6:30 p.m., with pre-show entertainment by Devon “The Sonnet Man” Glover from July 10–13. All performances begin at 8 p.m., and a $5 donation per person is suggested.

Bring blankets, beach chairs, and picnic baskets, or enjoy on-site concessions during opening week, provided by Little Moir’s Food Shack.
