Lighthouse ArtCenter in Tequesta will present its inaugural Art in Bloom fundraiser November 6–8. The celebration will showcase one-of-a-kind floral arrangements by South Florida designers, each inspired by artist Karen Tucker Kuykendall’s photorealistic botanical paintings and select contemporary jewelry, both featured in “Delicate Expressions.” Proceeds support Lighthouse ArtCenter’s exhibitions, art education programs, and outreach services for youth, adults, seniors, veterans, and individuals with special needs.
On view through November 15, “Delicate Expressions” pairs 18 botanical paintings by Kuykendall with more than 50 pieces of contemporary art jewelry chosen through a nationwide open call. Art in Bloom adds another layer, inviting visitors to experience the exhibition through the artistry of floral interpretation.
The celebration begins with a ticketed opening reception on November 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. Guests will enjoy light bites and be among the first to view the floral creations. Tickets are $25 and are available at lighthousearts.org or in person. Raffle tickets will also be available at the event for a chance to win one of the floral arrangements.
The floral arrangements will remain on display November 7 and 8.
