Live Like Jake will host the Eighth Annual Be the Light Gala, this year with a festive Palm Royale theme, at The Pelican Club in Jupiter on October 17, at 6 p.m.
The evening will be co-chaired by Dr. Jeanmarie Connor and Heather Atkins, and emceed by Jay Cashmere. The fundraiser features libations that toast to this year’s theme, live and silent auctions, open bar, hors d’oeuvres, dinner and dessert, dancing, awards ceremony, and a performance by Brit Drozda.
All proceeds from the event will support Live Like Jake’s mission to raise awareness for drowning prevention through self-rescue swim scholarships, outreach programs, and financial assistance to families who have lost a child or have a child with critical care needs.
