Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach will set the scene for a free Earth Day Celebration April 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Guests of all ages can partake in the Great American Cleanup, conservation-focused discovery shows, interactive activities, and a sustainable fashion show.
The Great American Cleanup will take place on the beach directly behind the center from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Participants will receive all necessary equipment, plus a free t-shirt.

In the afternoon, gather at the Brad & Joan Ingalls Amphitheater to watch Resource Depot’s Catwalk Student Fashion Show at 11 a.m. Middle and high school students will showcase marine-themed outfits inspired by the center’s sea turtle patients and their stories. Each student’s fashion design conveys an ocean conservation message and is crafted from upcycled materials.

The eco-friendly designs will return during the World Ocean Day Film Festival June 7-8 as part of the World Ocean Month student exhibition. Throughout the day, Loggerhead Marinelife Center will also welcome environmental community partners to share Earth Day messaging with guests, and host programs on campus and in nearby natural areas.
