Man of La Mancha is taking the stage at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre now through April 5! Featuring a live nine-piece orchestra and a company of performers from Broadway, national tours, and leading regional theaters, Man of La Mancha offers audiences a vivid reimagining of the legendary story of Don Quixote.

Man of La Mancha features a play within a play unfolding inside a prison during the Spanish Inquisition. Writer Miguel de Cervantes and his loyal servant are thrown into a dungeon to await judgment by the Inquisition. Surrounded by prisoners who threaten to destroy his manuscript, Cervantes proposes an unusual defense–he will perform a story. Using whatever they can find in the prison, helmets fashioned from basins, costumes improvised from rags, and the boundless power of imagination, the prisoners become actors in a tale of hope for what the world could be.

Eddie Noel Rodríguez stars as Don Quixote following his acclaimed run in the Broadway company of Hadestown. Jonathan Arana appears as the loyal Sancho Panza, with career highlights including the First National Tour of On Your Feet! and a featured role in the 2021 film adaptation of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s In the Heights. Ariella Kvashny takes on the powerful role of Aldonza. Her regional background features performances at The Old Globe and La Jolla Playhouse.

Man of La Mancha runs through April 5 on the MainStage at Maltz Jupiter Theatre. Performances include matinees at 2 p.m. Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays; and evening performances Tuesday through Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $78 for mezzanine seating.
