Summer is calling! Loggerhead Marinelife Center is accepting registration and scholarship applications for its Junior Marine Biologist summer camp. The 10-week program runs June 1 through August 7, and offers children ages 6 through 13 hands-on marine science and educational experiences.
The Center has three unique camps that give children the chance to explore special marine life encounters, activities, and outdoor experiences.
Sea Turtle Savers
This camp is designed for aspiring sea turtle researchers, veterinarians, and biologists. Campers will conduct daily sea turtle patient rounds, investigate Florida’s unique native species and habitats, and conduct sea turtle nesting surveys during peak sea turtle nesting season.
Ocean Adventures
Participants will enjoy snorkeling excursions, kayaking, local beaches, and more, with a special focus on Florida’s most iconic marine life.

Conservation Heroes
Watch as your child becomes a changemaker in conservation. Kids will learn the importance of ocean stewardship, helping to safeguard endangered species, restore ecosystems, and inspire the community to respect and protect the planet.
Loggerhead Marinelife Center is pleased to offer full-tuition summer camp scholarships through its Oceans of Opportunity initiative. The scholarships provide youths, whose families are experiencing financial hardship, the opportunity to engage in play, learning, and exploration in nature. Scholarships are available for campers residing in Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, Glades, Broward, and Miami-Dade counties. Applications are submitted electronically and are due on March 31. Scholarship recipients will be notified by email by April 15.
Children must be at least 6 years old by the date of camp enrollment and must have completed kindergarten. Camp hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with early drop-off and late pickup available and included for selected Camp Scholars.
