From the outside, Patrick Day Home Gallery looks like any typical storefront. But stepping inside the 10,000-square-foot space reveals lamps, candles, throw pillows, picture frames and larger-than-life bamboo rods sitting inside massive decorative vases.
This is not a design store that purchases run-of-the-mill home furnishings. Patrick Day Home Gallery is a mecca for all home design needs. And with owners Drew Souerwine and Jim Mabrey, and their talented staff, the store offers assistance for designing a stunning space.
Navigating through the gallery is like a surprise that never ends. The showroom is replenished daily and displays a variety of decor, allowing shoppers to gain inspiration in more ways than one. It’ll take some patience to make it through the entire store, but it’s worthwhile.
Souerwine and Mabrey travel once a year to different parts of the globe in search of the finest and rarest pieces. You’ll find Moroccan rugs, chairs from the Philippines, and other artifacts from Bali, Thailand and more. Almost every handpicked item is made from all-natural materials, including porcelain, exotic woods, leathers, pen shell and natural hide. The antique, curated collection will transform any interior from bland to extraordinary. “If you can’t find it here, you can’t find it,” Souerwine says of the gallery inventory, which features styles of all sorts from tribal to coastal.
While guests can certainly peruse the Gallery for inspiration and home furnishings, let Souerwine and Mabrey offer their expertise and assistance on window treatments, custom-upholstered sofas and chairs, custom chandeliers and lighting, wood flooring and more.
For bathroom, kitchen or bedroom redos, the store offers space planning, in-home consultations and furniture placement. Plus, all price points are offered, and there is always an emphasis on customization to satisfy each customer’s needs.
