This summer, explore marine life and immersive sea turtle experiences at Loggerhead Marinelife Center from June to September (the peak of sea turtle nesting season).
Guided Turtle Walks
Observe a loggerhead sea turtle as she nests and lays her eggs during these outings, hosted Tuesdays to Saturdays throughout June and July, from 9 p.m. to midnight. Guided Turtle Walks are open to guests ages 10 and older and are $40 per person.
Public Evening Guided Tours
Enjoy an after-hours tour of the outdoor sea turtle hospital to meet current patients, while learning about nesting sea turtles across local beaches. Offered Tuesdays to Saturdays through July, from 6 to 7 p.m. Tours are open to guests ages 10 and older and are $10 per person.

Hatchling Discovery Program
See a nest inventory in action! Start with a brief beach walk and ecology introduction to learn about identifying sea turtle crawls, nesting, and the hatching process. If a nest is located, witness permitted staff inventory the contents of a sea turtle nest and release any healthy hatchlings found along the way. Offered from 7 to 9 a.m. Sundays to Wednesdays in August, and Saturday and Sunday in September. Open to guests ages 10 and older; $25 per person.
Hatchling Release
Watch staff and volunteers release hatchlings into the wild. After an informative presentation, head down to the beach to view baby turtles being released into the ocean using night-vision technology for the most authentic experience. Offered daily in August, from 8 to 9:30 p.m. The experience is recommended for guests ages 10 and older. Participants must be able to walk at least a half-mile on the beach. Beach-mobile transit wheelchairs can be requested but are furnished based on availability. $40 per person.

Tidal Tots
Keep cool this summer with the Tidal Tots program! Children ages 2 to 5 years can explore marine life through play-based stations, story time, and an exploration walk along the ecosystem terrace. Enjoy early access to Loggerhead Marinelife Center’s exhibits and take part in exclusive, coastal-themed activities with an educator. Available on Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. from June to August. $5 per child.
Plastic-Free July Community Action Day
